Meet the People Behind aurevalithos
We're a team of financial professionals who believe that effective budget management shouldn't require a finance degree. Our diverse backgrounds in accounting, technology, and user experience design come together to create solutions that actually make sense for real people managing real money.

Delphine Rosewood
Chief Financial Strategist
Delphine joined us in early 2023 after spending eight years working with credit unions across northern Canada. What drew her to aurevalithos wasn't just another career move—she'd watched too many people struggle with budgeting tools that seemed designed by people who'd never actually lived paycheck to paycheck.
Her background includes a CPA designation and an MBA in Financial Management, but what really sets her apart is her experience helping families navigate financial challenges during economic uncertainty. She's the person who asks "but what happens when your car breaks down?" during product planning meetings.
When she's not working on expense categorization algorithms, Delphine volunteers with financial literacy programs in Yellowknife and has been known to explain compound interest using hockey statistics.
Why We Do This Work
Most budgeting platforms treat money management like a game or assume everyone has predictable income. We started aurevalithos because we believe financial tools should work for people whose lives aren't perfectly predictable—which is most of us.
Our approach focuses on consolidating scattered financial information into clear, actionable insights without judgment or unrealistic expectations about how people actually spend money.
- Practical solutions over theoretical perfection
- Real-world testing with diverse financial situations
- Transparent communication about what our tools can and cannot do
- Continuous learning from user feedback and financial research
- Respect for the complexity of individual financial circumstances
